Couple Getaways - K - Klamath Falls

Every few years the family and I try to take a weekend trip to Klamath Falls found in Southern Oregon. There are so many incredible attractions here, but my most favorite is Crater Lake. The incredible color of the water fascinates me.

While not the easiest hike, especially when it's time to head back up, it's a rewarding one each step of the way.

There are plenty of historic sights as well, such as the Volcanic Scenic Byway, Mitchell Monument, Lava Beds National Monument, Historic downtown, as well as other museums. There are endless activities to do including fishing, hiking, biking, birding, golfing, both winter and water sports, and horseback riding.

While it's easy to find plenty of nearby lodging, there are also some unique places to stay that are more affordable and offer some peace, a short distance away.

Hubby and I found a lovely out of the way place that had treehouses and cabins in a secluded area. I'm not sure how I came across this amazing retreat, but once I saw the adorable cabin on their website, I knew we had to stay there. Two nights weren't nearly enough, but the memories last forever. We look forward to staying there again.

All throughout April I'll be posting about Couple Getaways as part of the A-Z Challenge. I hope you'll stop by for the next destination! No passport necessary ;)
